The majority of electricity in New Mexico is generated from coal fired power plants, and these plants generate large amounts of air and water pollution. Presently, there are three coal plants in New Mexico, and three more are being proposed.
Creating the solutions to global warming by developing cleaner energy sources and utilizing our energy more efficiently will decrease our dependence on more harmful sources of energy. This will in turn, improve air and water quality and improve the health of New Mexicans. We hope that you will join PSR and our efforts to halt coal fired power plants and create clean renewable energy sources.
